With an intrinsic understanding of the technology involved, the fabric used on ashmei's Signature Bib Shorts is a perfect example of ashmei’s ground-up approach.

Woven rather than knitted, it contains a far higher degree of more expensive and flexible elastane. Start with a material that possesses the qualities you need, and making a great product becomes easier. Taking the list of qualities required from ashmei's shorts; a compressive fit, wind and water resistance, breathability, high opacity, and a minimum of superfluous details, rather than adding features, ashmei's design accomplishes these from the fibre upwards.

Also allowing ashmei to laser-cut the legs for a seamless and unrestrictive fit, the Signature Bib Shorts use less to achieve more. Married to a bespoke high-density foam chamois and wide stay-flat straps, the result is a pair of shorts unlike any other.
